Why Akka's Handcraft?

I've spent years in tech, winning on paper, extreme burnouts in real life. I'd skip meals to make a meeting, and I used to lash out on my loved ones after a bad day at work, feeling terrible afterwards.

Finally one day I decided it's time to take a break.

I spent a month in Kyoto and then another one in France. It has completely changed my perspectives on life.

It's not the gorgeous sights, but the way people lived:

Coffee poured like a ritual, friends sitting over tea in the afternoon with their phones away, meals made with love, joy found in the ordinary and the present.

I didn't quit after I came back. Most of us can't just quit or spend months abroad to heal.

But I came back different. Joy doesn't have to live in the big moments, in the next promotion or vacation. It can live in your favourite grocery tote bag, in the 7am coffee in a mug that makes you smile.

Allow us to bring you delight, one beautiful, handmade piece at a time.

Akka, the British Shorthair

P.S. Akka is my British Shorthair, the heart of our household. I adore her, so I named this special place after her.
